Job Description
The Academic Advisor for Matriculation and Professional Development is responsible for conducting transcript review for all admitted students in the School of Education, developing admitted student program plans, and preparing first semester registration recommendations. This position is also responsible for administering NDMU’s Professional Development Institute and advising students enrolling in non-credit or PDI courses. Master’s degree in education or related field required. Minimum 2-3 years as a PK-12 teacher, administrator or school system professional. Strong interpersonal skills, experience in interviewing, data analysis and excellent computer skills required. Strong decision-making skills, the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in organizational and time management skills, teamwork, and confidentiality. Adept with general office equipment, Microsoft Office and database management.
