Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Eureka, California, Providence St. Joseph Hospital in Eureka is seeking a full-time acute care nurse practitioner or physician assistant to support its ED, ICU and Hospitalist team. The primary focus will be on supporting the ED with roughly two shifts per month assigned to the ICU as well as the Hospitalist role. Candidates must be comfortable with a variable schedule and be able to see pediatric patients when necessary. Due to the emphasis on ED work, ideal candidates will also have a strong critical care background as well as some ED experience. Full-time float position with variable schedule Mix of ED, ICU and Hospitalist duties Strong supportive team with ability to train Must be able to see pediatric patients Open to both Acute Care nurse practitioners and physician assistants Ideal candidates will have strong Critical Care, ICU and Emergency Department experience New graduates that have 200 hours in an ICU are welcome to apply Compensation is between $146,354 and $177,324 per year The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and may include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, hospital/ED call stipends, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer.
