Administrative Director, Cancer Integrated Service Line
Salary Range: $102,300 – $237,100 (10% bonus potential)
The Administrative Director, Cancer Integrated Service Lines is the executive leading strategic development and growth of the Cancer Integrated Service Line that will be deployed across UCDH’s inpatient and outpatient clinical care settings. Integrated service lines place the patient at the center of the care journey, ensuring high-value clinical care that comprehensively addresses all aspects of patient care, ensures superior patient and staff experience, and produces appropriate financial outcomes for the health system. The Administrative Director, Cancer Integrated Service Lines is responsible for ensuring the Cancer Integrated Service Line and existing and future disease sub-service lines (i.e. Benign Hem, Brain, Breast, Endocrine, ENT/Head & Neck, GI, GU, GynOnc, Lung, Peds, Sarcoma, Stem Cell, etc.) meet all financial and operational performance targets and achieve articulated strategic goals, driving a value proposition that is superior in the market.
With respect to the integrated service line deployment and execution of the Cancer Integrated Service Line strategy, the Administrative Director is the primary executive interacting with clinical and operational leaders, including the Cancer Center Director, Physician-in-Chief, Disease ISL Physician Leaders, Executive Director of Oncology Services, department chairs and Chief Administrative Officers, physician leaders, and their teams to drive success. The Administrative Director, in coordination with the Executive Director of Integrated Service Lines, develops and oversees the system long-range and annual growth plans for the Cancer Integrated Service Line and disease sub-service lines and is ultimately responsible for the overall profit and loss for the Cancer Integrated Service Lines. The Administrative Director is responsible for the success of the Cancer Integrated Service Line strategy across the Health System, requiring them to execute work at the highest level of the enterprise through a highly matrixed organizational structure.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
Experience in developing and/or managing integrated service lines, preferably in an academic, highly matrix, multi-site environment.
Minimum of seven to ten years of progressive healthcare leadership experience (hospital, ambulatory clinic, etc.).
Experience implementing and/or transforming operational processes and environments.
Advanced ability to lead business planning, innovation development, and implementation for multi-faceted clinical services.
Experience developing and managing new departments and functions.
Systems thinker able to balance strategic plans and objectives with operational excellence needs.
Expert-level analytical ability and skills to understand financial, operational, and market data.
Highly advanced project management skills, able to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously.
Displays sensitivity, patience, diplomacy, and tact in relationships with subordinates, peers, and senior leadership.
Excellent leadership abilities to oversee multiple functions or departments through subordinate and matrixed managers. Considerable experience managing successful programs in a matrixed environment to negotiate appropriate solutions and resolve conflicts
Highly advanced people management skills that foster positive morale, encourage collegiality and inspire confidence in staff.
Political dexterity. Excellent skills to work collaboratively and act persuasively in sensitive situations
Demonstrable experience developing and maintaining a collaborative atmosphere that empowers others to perform their best while strongly encouraging innovation and accountability.

Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Health Administration or Business Administration or related field. • If Master’s degree is not completed, applicant must complete within 3 years of hire.
Experience with cancer integrations.
Experience with leadership in oncology services.
Experience with healthcare leadership in one or more academic medical centers
Experience with ambulatory, inpatient, and perioperative services.
Experience with enterprise transformation.
Experience developing clinician engagement programs
Experience in joint ventures and contracting.
Special Requirements
