Lewes, Delaware,     Summary: Responsible for performance of secretarial functions, general office and clerical tasks and assistance to Medical Staff Office and individual physicians. Performs a variety of credentialing, tracking and verification of information for Medical Staff Office.   Other information: Two years administrative experience required. Familiarity with medical and legal terminology desired. Emphasis on accuracy and speed in typing (50 wpm), word processing, Microsoft Word proficiency. Excellent interpersonal communication, transcription and writing skills necessary. Ability to work in a highly confidential environment. Strong computer skills necessary with ability to produce charts, graphs, etc. Knowledge of other business subjects desirable.   Responsibilities: Prepares and distributes agendas, department minutes and related materials, monthly catering requests for medical staff meetings.

Attends assigned meetings. Schedules and maintains master physician meeting calendar for medical staff and hospital activities and assures adequate notification of such activities. Provide and/or perform secretarial services to the medical staff and its officers, as needed. Typing, filing, dictation transcription, faxing, broadcast faxing, copying, mail distribution, answering phones, and schedules appointments. Assist in maintaining up-to-date confidential credential and administrative files, reflecting complete personal and professional history of medical staff members. Develop and/or maintain mechanisms for tracking various physician related information (I. e. Medical Record fines, entering updated licenses, etc. ) Posts physician dues. Initiate and run required computer programs necessary to obtain needed physician statistics.

Be available to attend physician functions and arrange for appropriate office/phone coverage while away. Perform multiple duties and assignments within the same time frame, meeting a designated deadline.     Competencies and skills: Essential:
