Dallas, Texas, Anesthesiologist and Executive Vice Chair for Operations and Finance
The UT Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management, seeks an outstanding Anesthesiologist with a history of academic leadership for the inaugural position as an Executive Vice Chair for Operations and Finance. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.
Candidates must have proven leadership skills necessary to serve as the Executive Vice Chair for Operations and Finance. This position will be 50% clinical and 50% administrative. The successful candidate will have demonstrated clinical experience and proven interpersonal skills, with a strong interest in advancing the clinical missions of the Department. Faculty appointments will be at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor based on academic experience.
Responsibilities include direct patient care as well as teaching and supervision of anesthesiology residents, fellows, medical students, and other trainees. Clinical duties may include subspecialty work for candidates with demonstrated training and /or experience in the field. Additionally, the administrative aspect of the position will include all operational and financial aspects of the Department, reporting directly to the Chair.
Applicants must have or be able to obtain a Texas medical license prior to employment and be Board-Certified with the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA). Candidates seeking less than a full-time position will not be considered.
