Position Summary
(Classified as: Casual Worker)

Hourly-intermittent temporary positions available on or after February 1, 2022 and ending on or before June 30, 2022 in the Art Department. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

The Art Department is continually building a pool of persons interested in temporary hourly-intermittent/on-call employment as an Artists’ Figure Model to work fall and spring semesters. All body types sought. Hours are flexible and typically range from 6 to 12 hours per week. Work hours vary from early morning to evening. This classification is intended for appointees hired on a temporary, part-time, intermittent basis to perform non-bargaining unit work of a limited duration only and not intended for temporary appointments that accommodate on-going work schedules.

Job Duties
Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Serve in the capacity of Artists’ Figure Model, undraped (nude), for art classes and open studio sessions.
    • Responsible for timely arrival to class session as arranged by the Art Department faculty and/or staff.
    • Completes modeling session as required by the faculty member.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • No experience necessary.
    • Completion of high school program or its equivalent.
    • Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Previous experience as an artists’ figure model.
    • Demonstrated experience in group or classroom activity.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

    • Must be responsible and punctual.
    • Must be able to follow directions.
    • Demonstrated professional work ethic.

    Physical Requirements

    • Standing and/or sitting for long periods of time.
    • Ability to hold a stance for several minutes at a time without moving.

    Salary Range
    $20.00 per hour.
