Summary of Job Duties:
The Academic
Success Center Operations and Testing Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for in-person and virtual services at the ASC, is
responsible for a variety of administrative duties, manages day-to-day operations in the ASC, coordinates with academic program leaders,
faculty, students, and campus partners, ensures data integrity, provides technical assistance and excellent customer service with accuracy
and consistency. Duties include high level office management, coordination, and communication: scheduling appointments; maintaining student
records and inventory; referring students and faculty to appropriate resources based on their particular needs. The position reports to the
Director of the Academic Success Center.

Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Work Experience:
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and one year of related experience. Other job-related education and/or experience may be
substituted for part of these requirements. Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for part of these
requirements. 

Preferred Education and/or Work Experience: Master’s degree/graduate school college course work/and educational
or office background is preferred. Experience with adult learners, nontraditional students, student services, and diverse student needs is
beneficial.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: To perform the job successfully, the following competencies are required for the
essential functions of this position:

    the willingness to learn new computer software.

Essential Job Duties and
Responsibilities:

  • Oversees all day-to-day operations of the testing services offered by the Academic Success Center. Works
    with supervisor to develop and update services, policies, procedures, and schedules in response to changing demands.
  • Administers,
    proctors, scores, and transmits results of all tests administered by the testing center. Observes university, state/federal, and test agency
    policies and procedures for security/confidentiality of testing records; includes adherence to FERPA as it relates to the university and
    testing services.
  • Schedules and publicizes services, communicates program policies/procedures to campus and community and maintains
    integrity of testing environment.
  • Maintains security of tests and materials by routinely inventorying materials, reviewing
    procedures for security, ensuring secure storage, and returning all test booklets and related materials to appropriate testing
    companies.
  • Maintains testing center statistics including number of people tested, number of tests given and type of tests. Prepares
    monthly and annual reports and makes recommendations to the supervisor concerning program implications.
  • Assists students to complete
    testing paperwork and assure accuracy and completeness. Refers students who need advising or other support services to the appropriate
    offices.
  • Engages in professional development activities and maintains knowledge and awareness of effective testing practices and
    certification statuses.
  • Assists with graduation, recruitment, retention, and other university-related activities as
    needed.
  • Participates in professional and staff development opportunities.
  • Actively participates in Academic Success Center
    planning, evaluation, and program review.
  • Treats students and colleagues respectfully, speak to others courteously, and behave in
    such a way that creates a workplace environment that is marked by trustworthiness, honest but polite communication, and interpersonal
    interaction that are both personally cordial and professionally appropriate.
  • Serves on committees as required.
  • Responsible
    for maintaining a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to foster teamwork and by providing leadership to
    subordinates.
  • Requires consistent on-time attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Additional
Information:

Working Relationships: This position will work closely with the other members of the Academic Success Center
team, including the Director, Assistant Director, Academic Coaches, Lab Assistants, and student workers. The Operations and Testing
Coordinator routinely interacts with members of the Office of Admissions and faculty across campus. Daily interactions will include students
and prospective students.

Work performed primarily in an office setting.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly exhibits
digital dexterity when entering data into computer. The employee frequently sits for extended periods of time, and occasionally stands and
walks. Vision demands include close, relatively detailed vision when focusing on a computer screen. Employee regularly talks and hears.
Employee occasionally lifts items up to 50 pounds. Routine work schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm with occasional overtime
and travel required
