Summary of Duties:
The Written Exam Specialist will plan, organize, direct, and coordinate operations for the Assessment program as they pertain to written exams, by supporting faculty in the design, development and delivery of the medical school assessments based upon best practices.
The Specialist will support faculty and administration with course design and instructional approaches related to written assessments to ensure students meet desired learning outcomes. This work will include the editing, monitoring and improvements of the program of student assessment (written exams) to ensure alignment that optimizes student learning.
The incumbent will work closely with faculty, staff, and clinical campus locations to ensure all aspects of the MD Program (curriculum and assessment) are coordinated consistently across the distributed campuses and clinical locations as it pertains to written examinations, including schedules, Learning Management System, and Curriculum Management systems (LMS & CMS).
This position will support the specialty area of assessment requirements of the Written examination elements of the curriculum across the 4 years ensuring compliance with WSU and LCME standards and regulations per FERPA.

Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent education/experience.
Additional Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience with MS Office Suite and Adobe.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills in both informal and formal settings.
- Demonstrated experience executing established process flows.
- Ability to organize, track, monitor and follow up on multiple tasks in a prioritized manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in assistance, support, or coordination in the areas of curriculum or assessment (or similar program) or other activities in a higher education, healthcare, or equivalent setting.
- Experience assessing programs and implementing identified improvements to process.
- Experience in Postgraduate and/or Undergraduate Medical Education.
- Experience in higher education.
- Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) or similar database experience.

Monthly Salary: Range 42 | $3,537- $4,723 Step A-M | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
