Job Summary:
The Assessment Support and Technical Operations Specialist will support the assessment and educational technology infrastructure at the School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences to ensure effective, seamless, and user-centered operations essential for teaching, learning, and assessment. This position serves as a direct report to the Associate Dean of Assessment and Strategic Planning.

The Assessment Support and Technical Operations Specialist coordinates assessment administration primarily to all the school’s in-person academic programs, in collaboration with the assessment team. This position is responsible for readying and maintaining ExamSoft digital testing platforms for faculty and student use during the academic year; providing Examsoft and Examplify first-level end-user training, support, and communication to faculty and students; and scheduling, coordinating and trouble-shooting course exams, program-level assessments administered by the assessment team or by the academic program directly, and standardized exams as per accreditation requirements.

The Assessment Support and Technical Operations Specialist will maintain, troubleshoot, and support campus educational technology for all programs using the School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences facility located at 230 Park Avenue, specifically the ongoing maintenance and deployment of desktops, laptops, printing devices, tablets, and audio-visual equipment in a manner consistent with FDU Information Technology (IT) throughout the University. The incumbent will triage and/or provide end-user support to all the School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences faculty/staff and students on all University-provided equipment for teaching, learning, and assessment purposes. The Assessment Support and Technical Operations Specialist will provide day-to-day maintenance of the lecture capture application software to keep it operating, recording, and presenting the recorded classes as the programs within the School require.

Required Qualifications:
1. Associate degree required in a work-related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

2. Experience in a multi-vendor environment demonstrating a technological knowledge (troubleshooting/repair) of computers, peripherals, telephony, and networking equipment.

3. Some information technology work experience (proficiency with operating systems, applications, internet fundamentals) is strongly preferred.

4. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, possessing the ability to use spreadsheets (e.g., sorting, filtering, conditional formatting), perform calculations and basic formulas (e.g., IF function, AutoSum, concatenate function), and executing automation efficiently to process data relevant to work tasks.

5. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students at the School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and Fairleigh Dickinson University.

6. Strong commitment to customer service, attention to detail, confidentiality.

7. Ability to learn new concepts or technologies.

8. Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and supplies (up to 50 pounds).

9. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
