Ennis, Texas, Description JOB DESCRIPTION The assistant administrator in accordance with professional standards, state and federal rules and regulations and operational policies assumes responsibility and accountability for the daily delivery of services and for assisting with the overall management of the facility according to the duties delegated by the CEO, CFO and CNO administrative team. In collaboration with facility administration, utilizes department resources in an efficient and economical manner to provide optimal patient care delivery. Build cooperation within departments, medical professionals, and organizations, including government agencies and community groups to develop, support and coordinate care. Performs administrative functions to represent the interests of the facility in operational growth and excellence. Oversees program certification and customer service initiatives and helps drive evidence-based standards, quality, and satisfaction. JOB FUNCTIONS Manages the day-to-day operations according to responsibilities delegated. Manages daily provider relationships and communicates issues timely to the executive team. Participates in provider review and compliance. Attends medical staff meetings and functions. Encourages the promotion of customer service within all departments and sets expectations for achievement.
Handles patient and the customer complaints. Responsible for closure and timely management of grievances. Develops and manages ongoing performance improvement initiatives and supports the National Quality and Culture of Safety and Engagement programs. Manages joint commission and other regulatory programs and surveys in conjunction with responsible leaders. Promotes growth and development of product lines and supports the strategic plan through management of daily processes, utilization and appropriate allocation of resources and productivity management. Assists with contract evaluation and management as delegated. Participates in community affairs and civic organizations. Participates in marketing activities and growth and outreach. Serves as spokesperson for operational matters and represents the hospital with the direction of the executive team. Works with department heads to promote cooperation, leadership, communication, and budgetary acumen.
Qualifications Qualifications: Education: A bachelor’s degree in business, management, health administration, or another comparable field is required. Masters in business or Health Administration is preferred. Experience: Must possess and demonstrate a high degree of leadership, organizational ability and communication skills. Knowledge of evidence-based hospital practice, policies, budgeting, personnel management, and growth development of an acute care facility is required.
