Job Description

Assist the Dean and collaborate with members of the senior administrative team and faculty, with reporting requirements, special
projects, and student issues.  Assist the Dean with overseeing and implementing programming designed to support the strategic initiatives of
the law school, including strategic planning, and the development and implementation of a sustainable assessment program. Assist with
faculty development and serve as the primary Law School Diversity Officer.

Handle all reporting requirements including, but not
limited to, the annual ABA Questionnaire, the annual ABA Employment Questionnaire, AALS reports, Board of Trustees Reports, Florida Bar
reports, and SACS reporting requirements by:

  • Collecting data from all law school departments related to graduates, employment,
    curricular changes, programmatic changes, alumni, etc.;
  • Preparing ABA/AALS self-studies consisting of over 200-page reports, as well
    as other reports and responses, and maintaining current documentation to support each report;
  • Analyzing the reportings and reviewing
    the ABA Standards to ensure all is in compliance;
  • Maintaining and updating files demonstrating compliance with ABA Standards;
    and
  • Assisting the Dean with ABA, SACS and other site visits.

Support the strategic initiatives of the Dean by:

a)   
Assisting faculty members with scholarly development, publication needs, and presentations;

b)    Overseeing research grants for
faculty scholarship, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with requirements;

c)    Reviewing research grant publications and
assisting with all faculty development and scholarship needs;

d)    Supporting the Dean’s initiatives in the community including,
without limitation, initiatives with respect to the American Bar Association, Chambers of Commerce, Florida Bar, and other legal and
non-legal community organizations;

e)    Supporting the Dean’s initiatives with respect to alumni, development and administration of
the Law School;

f)    Developing and following through with the Law School’s strategic plan and ensuring its alignment with the
strategic plan and initiatives of the University;

g)   Developing and implementing a sustainable assessment program; and

h)  
Assisting the Dean with other strategic initiatives, including research of best practices and contract negotiation.

Assist Dean and
collaborate, as assigned by Dean, with the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Associate Dean for Student Affairs by:

  • Assisting
    with updating existing Faculty & Student Handbooks and Law School forms;
  • Assisting in the recruiting process of faculty
    members;
  • Assisting with the planning and execution of all aspects of law school graduation and commencement festivities, including
    graduate reception;
  • Assisting bar preparation with all agreeements regarding tutoring and bar preparatrion organization;
    and
  • Supporting the Director of Career Services and Student Life

Serve as the Law School Diversity & Inclusion Officer
by:

a)    Developing a diversity plan;

b)    Collaborating with, and supporting outreach by the Admissions Office on diversity
initiatives relative to prospective student outreach, with a focus on the Law School’s commitment to having a student body that is diverse
with respect to gender, race, and ethnicity;

c)     Developing programs and coordinating services to promote an inclusive community
and support students from underrepresented minority groups, including, without limitation collaborating and liaising with the Career
Services Office on diversity initiatives, such as developing and initiating Diversity Internship Programs, while providing career education
and counseling services to diverse students;

d)     Working closely with Director of Marketing and Media Relations to enhance and
develop marketing materials that support the mission of the Law School, promote an inclusive community, and focus on the diversity of the
Law School;

e)     Liaising with the Director of Student Life and faculty advisors of student groups that primarily serve the needs
of underrepresented minority groups;

f)     Tracking and maintaining data regarding the success of the diversity initiatives of the
Law School; and

Assist the Dean in maintaining schedules and deadlines and performs other related duties as assigned by the
Dean

Required Professional & Educational Experience

Doctoral degree – Field of study: JD

1-3 Year of
work-related higher ed. job experience
