Louisville, Kentucky, Description We are looking to add a AVP Revenue Integrity/Charge Description Master to our team.     GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES The AVP of Revenue Integrity/Charge Description Master is responsible for leading the development of Shared Services Center Revenue Integrity program elements including policies and procedures, audit and monitoring programs, and educational documents. This position is focused on providing outstanding customer service and ensuring the integrity of the revenue by providing strategic direction, guidance, education, training and consistent feedback to executive leadership and staff responsible for charging practices, billing practices and management of the revenue cycle. Development of resolutions to address issues identified and adherence to Company, regulatory and industry requirements is a key component. The AVP will perform risk analysis and incident resolution working closely with the Compliance department. This position works closely with and supports the Shared Services Center Revenue Integrity Directors.   OPERATIONAL DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: •Develop and lead the strategic vision for the enterprise-wide Revenue Integrity initiative by working with the Revenue Integrity leaders to identify best practices and to transfer them into standard process. •Work actively with Revenue Integrity management to optimize efficiency around Revenue Integrity operations while adhering to compliance requirements. •Develop standards including policies, procedures, and tools that promote operational efficiency and compliance. •Review and develop procedures for working applicable edits, reports, including Bill Alerts, billing vendor and payer edits, chargemaster standards, Patient Accounting reports and web tools.

•Analyze and interpret data from reports and web tools to identify potential performance opportunities and/or compliance issues. •Assess operational impact of regulatory updates and payer communications. •Assist with external audits including insurance and patient defense audits, OIG, RAC, MAC, Medicaid and other payers as needed •Provide chargemaster and charge capture support to SSCs as needed, including recommendations for working with ancillary departments at the hospital on charge related issue resolution. •Ensure standard educational requirements are implemented for Revenue Integrity staff. •Work closely with the Business Performance Group Compliance team on compliance initiatives that impact Revenue Integrity operations. •Maintain strictest confidentiality to ensure that privileged and/or proprietary information is adequately safeguarded against disclosure. •Ability to establish and maintain collaborative and effective working relationships •Ability to communicate effectively in oral, written, and electronic formats •Writes reports and professional correspondence •Identifies opportunities for improvement throughout the process •Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct� philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement� •Other duties as assigned Some Travel may be required   Qualifications Education B. S. in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration or equivalent work experience.     Experience 7+ years relevant experience.

  Acute Care Hospital Billing.   Acute Care Hospital and/or Shared Service Center management experience preferred.   Managed Care Contracting.   Interqual and/or other medical necessity.   DRG and ICD-9 and CPT coding knowledge.       Education B. S. in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration or equivalent work experience.     Experience 7+ years relevant experience.   Acute Care Hospital Billing.

  Acute Care Hospital and/or Shared Service Center management experience preferred.   Managed Care Contracting.   Interqual and/or other medical necessity.   DRG and ICD-9 and CPT coding knowledge. Some travel may be required. AVP Revenue Integrity
