Bank Loans is a niche and growing area of focus across the industry. You will be responsible for the oversight of offshore daily and monthly tasks, investigation of cash and position breaks and escalation to client, data collection for annual audit reviews and investigating unsubstantiated assets. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established team servicing global client.
Job Responsibilities
Bank Loan Servicing:
- SME, escalation and oversight for loan servicing activities such as Paydowns/Drawdowns, interest rate resets, payment in kind interest calculations, delayed compensation & economic benefit calculations, trade settlements / wire processing
- Escalation and SME for position & cash break investigation, partnering with offshore teams and clients in issue resolution
- Substantiating Monthly KPIs on relevant Governance forums
- Act as primary contact for the clients, regulatory bodies, internal and external auditors, downstream teams (NAV Ops/iMos) and ensure that queries/issues are resolved in a timely manner
- Work closely with JPM Onboarding team for management of new business and organic growth
- Develop a thorough knowledge of our client base and build relationships with Investment Managers and other related third parties
- Work closely with technology to perform user acceptance testing, for upgrades, and enhancements.
- On-going review of daily controls
- Root cause and corrective action identification for KPI themes
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Bachelor degree required; preferably Finance, Business Management, Accounting, or Economics
- Strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Strong analytical skills and strategic thinker with proven track record
- Superior interpersonal skills with an ability to effectively communicate with internal and external clients
- Excellent client service orientation and experience
- Ability to motivate staff and provide feedback when needed.
- Keen eye for detail, processes and deadline orientated
- A willingness to work hard and go beyond expectations
- Strong organisational skills, concern for quality & accuracy and working to strict deadlines
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Knowledge of the Bank Debt asset class, including Primary and Secondary market trading; some exposure to loan closing is preferred
- Knowledge of investment vehicles related to Bank Debt is a plus
- Leadership acumen
