Schedule: Full Time Shift : Days Shift (Monday through Friday) Hybrid The community you’ll be caring for: · Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,368-bed AdventHealth Orlando · We offer great benefits with immediate Health Insurance coverage · Career growth and advancement potential · Serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America · AdventHealth Orlando houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and largest cardiac catheterization labs in the country · We are already one of the busiest hospitals in the nation, providing service excellence to more than 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients each year The role you’ll contribute: The Business Intelligence Analyst I provides data-driven insights, supporting quality and performance measurement initiatives for the organization through participation in development and maintenance of reports, scorecards and dashboards. These initiatives include, but are not limited to, collecting goals and data requirements, tracking clinical quality outcomes, monitoring, and improving patient safety efforts, and benchmarking internal performance against internal and external peers. The analyst develops and maintains a working knowledge of the service line(s) they support. They serve as a resource for other Business Analysts. The Business Intelligence Analyst I exhibits outstanding customer service and provides timely data to support the priorities of the organization.

The value you’ll bring to the team: Quality Work Product · Works with clinical, operational, or departmental personnel to gather deliverable requirements, develop analytic metrics/products, and maintain or enhance those analytic products (data extraction, data cleaning, benchmarking, data validation, and reporting/dashboard deployment) utilizing approved tools & software. · Understands and can explain the business definition for the metrics defined by the Service Line or product being created. · Analyzes and interprets reports and dashboards to provide data-driven insights to clinical and/or operational personnel. · Collaborates with and utilizes the expertise of other team members within AdventHealth to develop, improve, and ensure the accuracy of analytic products. Communication · Participate in discussions with clinical and operational personnel to gather data requirements to develop analytic products and potential enhancements. · Present analytic products to appropriate audience(s). · Maintain accurate documentation of standard operating procedures for analytic products. Self-Starter · Ability to learn and utilize different data validation best practice techniques to ensure data integrity. · Identify issues, brainstorm solutions with internal stakeholders, and communicate next steps with relevant parties.
Technical Toolkit · Build an understanding of the structure of the data models that are necessary for reporting. · Create, maintain, and design reports/dashboards with system approved Business Intelligence Tools. · Adhere to the AdventHealth Brand Standards and create customized experiences that are intuitive to users when interacting with Business Intelligence Tools. Project/Time Management · Adhere to project timelines and communicate barriers to project development with appropriate stakeholders. · Effectively communicate team member capacity to ensure work/life balance is maintained. Knowledge · Develop subject matter knowledge in support of business/clinical operations to understand operational processes and how they impact organizational outcomes. · Collaborate with analytic team members through knowledge sharing to build awareness across teams and avoid duplication of efforts. Data Security · Ensure users have appropriate access to products following common security frameworks within the organization and requirements of US health systems. · Follow all rules and regulations governing the use and sharing of protected data both internally, as well as transfers of data external to the organization. Qualifications The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: · Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field such as: business, health care, engineering, information systems, or mathematics discipline, with (1) or more years of relevant experience or · Master’s degree, preferably in a related field such as: business, health care, engineering, information systems, or mathematics discipline LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED: · Epic Clarity Certification within 12 months of hire This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
