Nampa, Idaho, Overview St. Luke’s Health System in Nampa is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Tech to join our team. Position SummaryThe Biomedical Equipment Technician 1, under supervision, serve as an entry-level clinical equipment support technician toprovide inventory control, minor repairs, and maintenance of medical equipment technologies, devices, instruments, and systems. Responsibilities Repair, install, maintain, calibrate, and inspect a diverse range of therapeutic and diagnostic biomedical instrumentation and equipment. Perform preventive maintenance and electrical safety testing of clinical equipment, devices, and systems. Diagnose and correct system and equipment malfunctions. Tests the functionality of medical equipment making necessary operational adjustments. Maintain documentation of all service events, performance tests, and corrective maintenance. Provide technical assistance and instruction to personnel regarding equipment operations and maintenance. May provide emergency/unscheduled repairs and/or maintenance as needed.

Complies with appropriate safety practices and procedures and with applicable federal, State and local codes, regulations and requirements. Handles basic issues using knowledge of procedures and policies. Refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Education: Associate’s degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Department of Defense (DOD) Certification or 2 years relevant experience in lieu of degree.
