Job Description

This position reports directly to the Director of the Center for Women and Gender Equity and supports the Center for Women and Gender
Equity. The Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating ongoing and one time programs for students, faculty,
staff, and community members that contribute to retention and graduation, promoting equitable and safe environments on campus, facilitating
education on diversity and gender justice, and creating a culture free from power-based personal violence. This individual will be
responsible for providing support in the office, creating purchase orders, greeting guests, answering the phone, scheduling events and
meetings, and preparing agendas. In addition to supporting the Director with day-to-day operation of the Center and strategic planning, the
Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing multiple campus-wide initiatives for CWGE. This person may supervise student
employees.

Essential Functions

· Develop and implement innovative programming throughout the academic year
promoting and educating about gender equity, with particular attention to March (Women’s History Month), October (Domestic Violence
Awareness Month) and April (Sexual Assault Awareness Month).

· Coordinate, oversee, and supervise practicum students within
the Centers along with advising student groups out of the Center.

· Provide presentations to increase awareness and
understanding of other identities and experience as they interact with social issues.

· Serve as a campus Green Dot trainer
and assist with coordination of program.

· Assist with developing, facilitating, and assessing community-building programs to
support student, faculty, and staff identity.

· Provide support through managing multiple and shared calendars and provide
multiple staff members with administrative support as needed, including coordinating purchasing, budget, maintaining inventory and ordering
supplies when necessary.

· Serves as an initial point of contact to triage individuals who contact or come into the office
regarding services and resources.

· Performs maintenance of department website and assists with social media.


Minimum Qualifications
The following Degree is required:

· Bachelor’s Degree. Degree must be conferred
at time of application.

The following Degree is preferred:

· Master’s degree

· Degree in
Women & Gender Studies, Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Student Affairs or related field

The following
Experience is required:

· 6 months of event management and program support

· 6 months of experience,
advising students or student organizations

** 2 years of experience as a GA or student employee is equal to 1 year of professional
experience

The following Experience is preferred:

· 6 months of experience marketing campaigns, print
materials, and social media

· 6 months of experience, including time spent as a graduate assistant, supervising staff

· 6 months of experience, developing and executing evidence based educational programming

Knowledge, Skills, and
Abilities:

· Knowledge of women’s and gender issues as related student development

· Experience working
with diverse populations

· Experience with women’s center or student affairs programs

· Knowledge of student
leadership and advocacy models

· Knowledge of intersectional feminism and gender based personal violence
