Job Title: Senior Policy Administrator
Location: London Bridge (Hybrid working – 5 days per month in the office)
Grade: £13.90 per hour plus £1.68 per hour holiday pay (equivalent to £25,300 full-time annual salary)
Duration: 2 months
Working Hours: 35 hours per week (9am-5pm)
Charity People are working with one of the leading Royal Colleges based in the City of London. We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Senior Policy Administrator to join the college’s Policy and Public Affairs team. As a Senior Policy Administrator, you will play a vital role in finding policy solutions to the challenges faced within the medical field. Your primary focus will be on generating evidence, conducting analysis, and influencing policymakers to enhance patient care and improve the working lives of their members.
About the role:
In this role, you will play a vital part in the Policy Team, focusing on monitoring and maintaining a comprehensive database of parliamentary proceedings. Your responsibilities will include gathering intelligence and sharing relevant information with the policy team. Furthermore, you will monitor and analyse NHS A&E Waiting Times data and utilize data visualization tools to present the findings on the website. As part of the Policy Team, you will contribute to the day-to-day administration, including handling inquiries and providing support to College Officers. Flexibility and adaptability are key, as you will be expected to undertake any other tasks within the scope and grade of the post, as requested by College Management, to help achieve the College objectives.
About you:
Practical experience is highly valued, including organising and delivering meetings, building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, influencing and motivating others, as well as carrying out research projects. Strong analytical skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proofreading abilities, are essential. Proficiency in numeracy, including the ability to use Excel for data analysis, is highly desirable.
You will possess exceptional organisational skills, be capable of managing a clear timetable, and achieving agreed targets within short timeframes. A willingness to learn new software is crucial, with experience in using Flourish or other data visualization software being an added advantage.
