Lewes, Delaware, Summary: Oversee all aspects of electrical work performed at the Medical Center. Work directly with outside electrical contractors on new electrical work performed at the Medical Center. Responsible for all installation, repairs and maintenance of the Medical Center’s electrical systems and equipment. Other information: Minimum of ten (10) years in the commercial and industrial field, five (5) years of which require being licensed as a Master Electrician. Familiarity with federal and state electrical codes. Able to work 3 phase motor controls, trouble shooting, motor repair, conduit bending. Responsibilities: Supervise all Medical Center electricians. Receive assignments and work orders; requisition materials and equipment for work to be performed. Work closely with outside electrical contractors and engineers on all new electrical projects. Install, repair and/or supervise installation and maintenance of all electrical systems and equipment.
Make sure all electrical P. M. Õs and work orders are assigned and completed on time. Maintain records, reports and statistics as required; maintain appropriate manuals, blueprints and other such materials. Read and interpret blueprints and specifications in operation, repair and maintenance of systems. Maintain established Medical Center policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control; comply with codes and regulations of accreditation and regulatory agencies Make sure all work is performed according to the current National Electrical Code, Local Code, NFPA, etc. Supervise all work and make sure it is completed in a workmanlike manner. Maintain a Master Electrical License; also maintain all required continuing education hours Maintain and operate all fire alarm systems, Honeywell system, switchgear, generators, motor controllers and fire pumps.
