Chief Quality Officer

Aurora, Colorado, UCHealth seeks a dynamic, experienced physician leader who is passionate about quality and safety to serve as its Chief Quality Officer (CQO). This is a unique opportunity to lead in a best-in-class integrated, academic health system that cares for Coloradans across the state. The CQO will lead the charge to drive exceptional health outcomes across the system, aligning clinical priorities with strategic, operational, and financial priorities with an appropriate sense of urgency. The CQO will be an example in leading with commitment to quality and safety and will instill a culture of clinical excellence across the system, serving to standardize clinical care throughout the enterprise. They will be responsible for building a strategic direction while leading and implementing programs and initiatives that drive towards consistency in care. The successful candidate should be recognized as a standard-bearer for quality and patient safety, possessing deep understanding and training in enhancing clinical quality and patient safety.

This individual will be a proactive, visible, transparent, and decisive figure who excels in communication, can nurture relationships across the organization, and stimulates collaboration. Candidates must hold a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree (or equivalent), have completed postgraduate medical education in an ACGME-approved residency program and possess current board certification with an expectation to acquire a Colorado medical license. Although not mandatory, an advanced degree in healthcare management, quality studies or a business-related field is desired.
