Lewiston, Idaho, Description The work location for this position is St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, Idaho   Benefits May Include: Medical, Dental, Vision 401k w/ employer match Short & Long-term disabilities Life & AD&D insurances Employee Assistance Program Pet Insurance and more… POSITION SUMMARY The Clinical Informaticist designs, develops, tests, implements, and evaluates new or modified informatics solutions, data structures, and decision-support mechanisms to support patients, health care professionals, the electronic information management systems and human-computer and human-technology interactions within health care contexts. Acts as a liaison between clinicians and systems engineers, analysts, or designers. Under the supervision of the Quality & Learning Department Director and in collaboration with the medical center’s clinical directors, the Clinical Nurse Informaticist supports the vision and goals of the Quality and Learning Department and the organization through the design of an effective electronic health information management system able to meet the needs of the end users while providing meaningful and actionable information and data. Qualifications Master’s degree in nursing or Information Systems preferred Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required Currently licensed in the state of Idaho, or licensure  eligible. required Current BLS on first day or to be assigned by the Learning Center required   ANCC Nursing Informatics certification preferred, if not in possession at time of hire, must acquire within 3 years of hire   Persons not meeting the requirements will be evaluated for eligibility on an individual basis.
