Schedule:   Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM Location: 2112 Shorter Ave, Ste 200 | Rome, GA 30165   The role you’ll contribute: The Clinic Lead provides leadership and team management for the nursing staff, medical assistants and provides input to the management of patient service coordinators, and laboratory/radiology technicians in the Medical Center. The Clinic Lead administers clinical policies to ensure the provision of quality patient care, efficient use of resources, compliance with regulatory policies and patient satisfaction with services at Gordon Hospital’s Physician Practice.   PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :   Clinic Lead Minimal Practice Function 1. The Clinic Lead is responsible for execution of the Medical Assisting Process: 1. 1 Assessment – The medical assistant collects patient health data.

a. Data collection involves the patient, family, and other health care providers as appropriate. b. The priority of data collection activities is determined by the patient’s immediate condition or needs. c. Pertinent data are collected using appropriate assessment techniques and instruments. d. Relevant data are documented in a retrievable form. e. The data collection process is systematic and ongoing.

1. 2 Diagnosis – The medical assistant analyzes the assessment data in determining diagnoses. a. Diagnoses are derived from the assessment data. b. Diagnoses are validated with the patient, family, and other health care providers, when possible and appropriate. c. Diagnoses are documented in a manner that facilitates the determination of expected outcomes and plan of care. 1. 3 Outcome Identification – The medical assistant identifies expected outcomes individualized to the patient.

a. Outcomes are derived from the diagnoses. b. Outcomes are mutually formulated with the patient, family, and other health care providers, when possible and appropriate. c. Outcomes are culturally appropriate and realistic in relation to the patient’s present and potential capabilities. d. Outcomes are attainable in relation to resources available to the patient. e. Outcomes include a time estimate for attainment.

f. Outcomes provide direction for continuity of care. g. Outcomes are documented as measurable goals. 1. 4 Planning – The medical assistant develops a plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes. a. The plan is individualized to the patient (e. g. , age-appropriate, culturally sensitive) and the patient’s condition or needs.

  Qualifications The value you’ll bring to the team: Computers, telephone, fax machine, copier, stethoscope, EKG machine, pulse oximeter, oxygen devices, wheelchairs, stretchers, scales, glucose monitor, and other patient care equipment necessary to perform required duties as appropriate to the scope of the practice.   The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed : ·        BLS/CPR certification ·        High School Diploma ·        Certified MA through CMS recognized certification organization such the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or American Medical Technologists (AMT).   ·        Three years medical experience (preferred) ·        One year in management (preferred) ·        Phlebotomy experience (preferred) ·        One year Medical Assisting experience (preferred) This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
