Avondale, Arizona, Position Summary Exciting opportunity for the Avondale ED. RN position will work Monday-Friday, flexible hours with support mostly during the day. Position will be responsible to assist with management of medication inventory, storage, preparation, delivery, expiration, reverse distribution, and distribution of medications within the designated site, ensuring accordance with established regulations and policies. Assist with education and serve as a clinical resource to clinicians in safe medication preparation and administration practices. 1 year ED experience minimum. Strongly prefer prior experience with automated dispensing cabinets and pharmacy tech or medication management role previously. This position will work in collaboration with the healthcare team, patient and family to promote patient health through delivery of professional nursing care appropriate to patients age and condition as documented in the nursing and medical plans of care in accordance with evidence-based nursing and patient care practice standards and hospital goals, values and regulatory standards. Education Two year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four year degree (BSN) in nursing, or a Diploma Nursing degree. (Required) Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in an RN to BSN program. (Preferred) Certifications Current State of Arizona RN license or an RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges or the ability to establish licensure according to Arizona law prior to start date.
(Required) Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association or obtain within within 60 days of employment. (Required)
