Morristown/NJ/USA, Overview Atlantic Health System is seeking a full-time Clinician for the Behavioral Health Department at Morristown Medical Center. The shift for the role will vary, with every other weekend. Entry level offer starts at $33. 00 / hour and increase based upon experience, credentials, education, and roles and responsibilities Responsibilities Job Function: 01. Provides specialized crisis counseling services to sexual assault program clients. Provides assessment of client needs, including the need for treatment of emotional behavioral, and substance abuse issues; and provides assessment, planning and interventions for issues related to sexual assault. Provides individual, group and family counseling for sexual assault clients and their significant others. Provides crisis intervention counseling and back up to the volunteer advocates for callers to the MCSAC Hotline 24/7. Provides in-person crisis intervention counseling for victims of sexual assault and abuse, and for their families. Triages for clients requiring additional psychiatric, or substance abuse services and provides appropriate referrals.

Provides follow up regarding the final disposition of calls taken by volunteer advocates to ensure that the patient is offered assistance in linking to appropriate services. Completes necessary documentation and charting of client encounters and mail Job Function: 02. Advocates for positive social change; and provides advocacy services for individual clients and their families. Works with other community services to advocate for services for sexual assault victims and their families. Provides police, medical and court accompaniment for sexual assault clients, as needed. Job Function: 03. Works with Program Staff to supervise their work and provide opportunities for staff development. Provides consultation to victim advocates when scheduled to be on-call. Provides supervision to program volunteers to ensure competency and performance requirements are met. Assists coordinator of MCSAC in training volunteer advocates.

Job Function: 04. Assists the MCSAC Coordinator in managing the day to day operations of the MCSAC program, adhering to contractual obligations established programmatic and clinical standards. Assists maintaining systems to facilitate efficient and effective sexual assault support operations, and maintenance of systems for accurate reporting and tracking of client information. Assists the Program Coordinator with quality assurance activities of the MCSAC program through the use of current sexual assault information, chart review s and assessment of services through client satisfaction endeavors. Provides back up hotline coverage during evenings and weekends, as needed. Submits monthly and quarterly program statistical reports to the coordinator for MCSAC. Job Function: 05. Provides education to the community, such as schools, universities, and police departments, and to other service agencies about the problem of sexual assault, including how to identify and refer sexual assault victims to the MCSAC. Assists the Coordinator of MCSAC, when needed in providing inservice education and outreach to community agencies in the county to provide information about identification of sexual assault victims, and making referrals to MCSAC. Provides education about special needs of sexual assault victims, including awareness and sensitivity training, to assist in meeting needs of victims and making appropriate referrals.
