Position Overview
The Arabic STARTALK program at the
University of Kansas will be a summer 2023 language institute. The program will host K-12 students from Lawrence, KS and the surrounding
area’s high schools and middle schools. There are 16 students in this language program.
Students will meet with the Arabic STARTALK
staff at KU for three weeks (46 hours of instruction). Both linguistic and cultural experiences will be enhanced in this summer language
program. The goal of the STARTALK 2023 program will be to get our students to Novice-Mid level. The program begins on July 3 and ends July
20.
Job Description
100% – Meet each class twice a week for two hours with the goal of helping students improve
upon their speaking skills
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalency
- Oral
proficiency of Arabic, as indicated in application materials
