Position Vacancy Announcement

Florida A&M
University’s School of Business and Industry is pleased to announce the acceptance of qualified applications for the Coordinator, Academic
Support Services vacancy.  This position will work in the School of Business and Industry’s Budget
Office.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities
include administrative and financial processes in the School of Business and Industry (SBI). Duties will include but are not exclusive to
the processing of travel documents, purchasing processing, payroll, personnel processing, financial assistance processing for undergraduate
and graduate students, FAMU Foundation accounts reconciliation, and SBI facilities management; Administrative and Financial Processes in the
School of Business and Industry (SBI); Acts as travel representative for SBI; Assists in the processing of travel documents for faculty,
staff, and students in the Travel module in iRattler; Processes Direct Disbursement Requests from the Foundation; Requests cash advances;
Processes direct payments to vendors and airlines; Reviews Student Domestic forms before student travel and submit to Student Affairs;
Follows up on Travel Authorization Request documents to assure timely processing; Processes graduate financial assistance for SBI students
funding from Graduate Studies; Prepares recommendation for graduate student contracts and award notification for Financial Aid Purchasing
process for SBI; Inputs requisitions into the Procurement module; and receives purchase orders in the Procurement module for vendor
payment.
Serves as the payroll and personnel process representative for SBI; Verifies time input into the system and submits for Dean
approval; Processes payroll exception report; Assists in the completion of payroll certification documents for Faculty staff and students;
Runs payroll cost center, Pick-up payroll check, and distribute payroll checks; Prepares Award Notification forms to award student
scholarships from Foundation; Prepares expenditure forms for foundation direct disbursement request (DDR); Assists the Associate Director in
the reconciliation of the foundation accounts; Assists in the submission of verbal and written service requests to Physical Plant for
maintenance of the SBI Facilities; and performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate
experience; or master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization.

Recommended Competencies

Accounting experience,
organizational and problem solving techniques;

Maintain effective working relationships with others;

Excellent interpersonal
and communication skills;

Proficiency in Microsoft applications; and

Proficiency with PeopleSoft
application.

Pay Plan

This is an Administrative
and Professional (A&P) position.

Employment

Successful candidate is subject to a pre-employment screening which includes a review of
