Job Description

Kentucky Wesleyan College, a private, liberal arts college with a long-standing reputation for quality and academic excellence, is seeking applications for a full-time Coordinator of Equity and Inclusion to manage all policies and procedures related to harassment, discrimination, diversity, inclusion, and equity with a primary focus on Title IX compliance.

Major Responsibilities

  • Fostering the College’s commitment to the prevention of harassment and discrimination, as well as advancing and supporting a culture of equity and inclusion.
  • Serving as the College’s Title IX Coordinator and as a resource for the application of fair, equitable treatment and practices.
  • Investigating and resolving complaints of discrimination, harassment, Title IX, and other civil rights violations in accordance with college policy and external regulations.
  • Consulting with students and employees, gathering evidence, issuing reports on findings and determinations, and maintaining accurate and thorough records.
  • Developing and facilitating training programs and initiatives for students and employees related to equity, diversity, inclusion, harassment, discrimination, Title IX, Title VII, and other equal opportunity laws and regulations.
  • Designing and conducting training programs and initiatives focused on the success and retention of underrepresented and marginalized student populations.
  • Assisting in the development and/or revision of policies and procedures related to Title IX, Clery Act, Violence against Women Act, equal opportunity, and non­discrimination.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in higher education, public policy, public administration, or related field.
  • Experience in investigations, policy creation, and policy implementation.
  • Excellent English skills, verbal and written.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Preferred qualifications:
      • Three to five years of experience in student conduct, student programming, human resources, equal employment opportunity and/or affirmative action, or a related field.
      • Experience developing and implementing programs, presentations, training, or marketing in a higher education setting.
      • Demonstrated project management, time management, and organizational skills with the ability to manage details of multiple projects within firm schedules.
