Position
Substitute Teacher
A substitute teacher at DC Virgo Preparatory Academy will support students
in grades K-8 during the absence of the classroom teacher. Substitute teachers are responsible for supervising students in the assigned
class, maintaining order and safety and executing the plan left by the classroom teacher. Substitute teachers will also follow the assigned
schedule for the classroom and supervise students during arrival, breakfast, transitions, lunch and dismissal. Substitute teachers must be
able to follow oral and written directions, take attendance and report lunch selections.
Coach
A coach will serve
as a head or assistant coach for middle school boys’ and girls’ athletic teams. The coach will supervise students, provide constructive
feedback, organize events and logistics such as requesting transportation and ensuring uniforms and equipment are available. A coach will
serve as a role model for students.
Tutor
A tutor will support individual or small groups of students in all
academic subjects.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma and experience working
with children in a K-12 environment.
Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience
2 or 4 year
degree.
