WesternU is a non-profit, private university with its main campus in Pomona, California and a second campus in Lebanon, Oregon. Founded in 1977, Western University of Health Sciences’ mission is to produce, in a humanistic tradition, health care professionals and biomedical knowledge that will enhance and extend the quality of life in our communities. The qualities and qualifications of the successful individual will include but are not limited to: effective communication skills, support advocacy, a proponent of diversity, a commitment to an innovative vision for student and faculty research, student-centered learning in an environment where students can thrive, provide excellent patient care and be prepared for the rigors of residency, and a strong commitment to the field of osteopathic medicine.
