We are actively seeking an energetic Executive Director to join our group.
Job responsibilities
- Create a user centric product strategy and drive design delivery capabilities for our Global Technology (GT) applications
- Partner with the product owners to ensure that the products that we create follow the user centric design principles from the inception phase itself
- Collaboratively create strategy from quantitative and qualitative research
- Communicate strategy to stakeholders through influence and presence
- Execute strategy collaboratively with Designers, Engineers, and Product Managers
- Champion UX implementation
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
The ideal candidate is, above all, a maker and enjoys balancing craft with an academic interest in theory and science of Interaction Design, HCI, and user-centred design methodologies.
In addition, candidates should have the following qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Extensive experience working as a user experience professional with proven experience leading and managing complex teams
- Track record of building and managing UX teams
- Passion for growing and mentoring a team of UX professionals and continuing to develop their careers
- Experience evaluating the goals and opportunities of an initiative and then worked to craft a program of work for the UX work stream which has included user research and synthesis, conceptualizing, designing, specification, QA, and deployment
- Experience designing applications within complex business domains, specifically the engineering systems development life cycle (SDLC), is preferred
- Track record of successful deliveries and a strong portfolio that highlights their ideas and end-product
- Experience building highly accessible and trusted products
- A portfolio with samples of work must be provided to be considered for the role
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience demonstrating clear insights, problem solving and simple solutions
- Knowledge of the SDLC development process
- Appreciation of the multi-disciplinary and collaborative nature of product development
- Ability to define and drive the overall process of Interaction Design/Information Architecture for complex highly functional business applications
- Detail-oriented and with an appreciation of the value of visual aesthetics across everything we do
