Boston, Massachusetts, Digital Marketing Manager – Automation About the Opportunity JOB SUMMARY The Manager, Digital Marketing Automation, works within the Digital Marketing team, reporting to the Director of Digital Marketing within Enrollment Management (EM). The position will heavily focus on graduate marketing needs, and a core part of their first-year duties will be working to help transition our landing page experience from Marketo to Slate. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Lead contact in Marketing to assist our Operations team in the management of our marketing automation platform by fully leveraging its capabilities, helping cleanse data and reporting out on insights and recommended optimizations to marketing campaigns. Work closely with internal Operations and Analytics teams, as well as our outside media agency, this role will need to have a key understanding of how a prospect navigates through the funnel and how various marketing channels work at each stage of the funnel to deliver an exceptional customer experience. With guidance from the Director of Marketing, this role will be our sole Marketing team representative that will work in collaboration with our existing Operations team in managing, maintaining, and improving marketing automation platform processes and procedures. Work closely with the Marketing Team to provide ongoing reporting and recommendations for optimizations to marketing campaigns. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate has 3-5 years minimum experience managing marketing automation, along with: Hard skills required: Proficiency in SalesForce, Slate and Google Analytics. Experience of working on email marketing campaigns, lead generation and nurturing. Knowledge of database management concepts and best practices. Experience with Marketo Revenue Cycle Model, or Revenue Cycle Explorer preferred.
Understand and evaluate campaign metrics and distribute campaign performance to the marketing team. Fundamental knowledge of HTML/CSS is a huge plus as it can help while working on email templates and landing pages. Having elementary knowledge of other tools in the martech stack at your organization will enable you to experiment with different growth hacks along with routine marketing activities. Knowing how to set up workflows such as welcome/onboarding sequence, cart abandonment, lead nurturing, re-engagement, upsell or cross-sell, feedback, etc. boost customer engagement and the overall CX. Should know how to use data as fuel to drive results. Soft skills required: Must have superior communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be highly organized and self-motivated with a sense of urgency. Strong independent project management skills. Capable of handling multiple tasks with competing priorities under minimal supervision.
Able to think critically and exercise independent judgment and discretion. Excellent attention to detail.
