Job Description

Position Summary:

The Director, Advising Operations serves as a senior staff member of the College
advising team assisting with the strategic planning and assessment of overall advising operations and support services for the College’s
8000+ students. Reporting to the Associate Dean, Student Advising, and working in partnership with advising leadership, the Director is
responsible for leading operational processes and procedures for the Office of Advising, identifying short and long-term strategies that
will enhance the advising experience for students and advising team members; providing oversight of project planning, strategic
communication and evaluation to ensure advising strategic objectives are met; and analyzing and interpreting data to identify patterns and
offer insights that will be used to make informed organizational
decisions.

Qualifications:

Required Education:
Master’s Degree in Public
Administration, Business Administration, Liberal Arts discipline or relevant field (Higher Education
Administration)

Preferred Education:
PhD, EdD degree in related discipline

Required
Experience:

5+ years years of demonstrated progressively responsible and successful experience in advising and administration,
including staff supervision.

Preferred Experience:
Related experience at a large college or
university.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative
environment. Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills. Superior presentation, written and verbal communication
skills. Possess a strong commitment to student success through the use of innovation, and data informed decision making. Demonstrated
ability to identify, resolve, and consult on a wide range of administrative and operations issues with a clear sense of institutional needs
and priorities. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information
with attention to detail and accuracy. Knowledge of analytics tools (e.g.Tableau) and experience using statistical packages for analyzing
datasets (e.g. Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.) Knowledge of data models and database design development. Adept at report writing and presenting
findings.

Additional Information:

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual
base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $85,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to)
scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as,
market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items
such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
