Position Information: The Police Dispatcher is responsible for the processing, dispatch and coordination of law enforcement response from the Communications Center. Dispatches calls for service for officer response, monitors security/panic/fire alarms, and infant protection systems. Collects pertinent data/information, determines and contacts appropriate responding units, notifies responding officers of any driver license/warrants and/or criminal history information; enters/maintains calls in CAD database utilizing real time data entry, and provides responding officers with all necessary information. Maintains officer status through the duration of each call. Initiates emergency action plans in case of incident/accidents as directed by policy/requested by hospital staff. Receives Magistrates’ Court Orders/coordinates patient transport. Maintains patient clothing and valuables logs, lost and found logs, and courtyard access logs.

Experience Requirements: 1 Year Telecommunications And Data Entry And Dispatch – Emergency Required – And 2 Years Customer Service Or Security Or Law Enforcement Preferred Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required – And Associate’s Degree Related Field Preferred Licensure/Certification Requirements: Not Applicable Hours of Work: Varying Shifts and Days Weekend Requirements: As Needed Call Requirements: Yes
