Position Overview
The Education Program Coordinator will
work primarily with the Language Training Center grant, which provides language training to active duty and reserve military personnel. The
position also provides assistance in the daily operation of the Open Language Resource Center, which supports the Humanities departments in
the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences and provides a range of public programming and educational resources.

Job
Description
25% Coordinates planning for Language Training Center (LTC) program, to include outreach to off-campus military
partners and students as well as work with departmental Language Coordinators
30% Manages the daily administration of the LTC program,
to include processes related to student admissions and billing, the administration and analysis of standardized testing for program
assessment, as well as the collection of data for grant reporting.
20% Assists with outreach for the Open Language Resource Center, to
include coordination of public programming and the dissemination of Open Educational Resources in the Humanities.
20% Provides
assistance in all areas of the Open Language Resource Center’s daily services, to include responding to general inquiries, circulation of
Center’s resources, reserving Center facilities.
5% Provides pedagogical support for LTC courses, to include faculty workshops and
extracurricular activities for on-campus language programs.
Position Requirements
This position works on-site,
but a hybrid schedule may be considered after an initial probationary period. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.
Required Qualifications
Evaluation of the following requirements will be made through (1) descriptions of work
experience and educational experiences in letter of application, (2) record of accomplishments and productivity addressed in resume or
curriculum vitae, and (3) information provided from professional references:
1. B.A. in a foreign language, second language education,
applied linguistics, or related field
2. Three or more years of work experience in the areas of office management, program
administration, language teaching and/or related fields
3. Native or near-native fluency in English with excellent written and oral
communications skills (as evidenced by cover letter and interview)
4. Previous experience with standard software for running a small
office (email, word processing, spreadsheets)
Preferred Qualifications
1. M.A. in a field related to
language instruction
2. Prior work experience in higher education
