Designated Emergency Center of Excellence recognizing our facility as a high-performing emergency department Located about 10 minutes from downtown Fort Worth and near TCU in the award-winning school district, Burleson ISD which also provides a low-cost of living.     The role you’ll contribute:   The Facilities Plant Operator ensures the safe and continuous operation of the Central Energy Plant’s Boiler’s, Chiller’s, Cooling Towers and stand by Emergency Generators. This includes utilizing the Building Automation Systems (BAS) to monitor and maintain boiler water, chemical and fuel levels and make appropriate adjustments. The Plant Operator schedules and/or performs preventative maintenance and repairs on all equipment, documenting appropriately for Joint Commission and all other governing agencies.   Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.   The value you’ll bring to the team:   ·          Operates or tends stationary engines, boilers, and auxiliary equipment such as pumps, compressors and air-conditioning equipment, to supply and maintain steam or heat for buildings.   ·          Observes and interprets gauges, meters, charts registering various aspects of boiler operation. Utilizes Building Management Systems (BAS) to track and document plant operations. Closely and accurately monitors the Generators, Boilers, Chillers and Cooling Tower water, chemical and fuel levels.   ·          Operates valves to maintain required amounts of water in boilers, adjust supplies of combustion air, and control the flow of fuel into burners.

Tests boiler water quality or arranges for testing, and takes any necessary corrective action, such as adding chemicals to prevent corrosion and harmful deposits. “Fire feeds” boilers using natural gas or diesel fuel.   ·          Monitors and inspects equipment, computer terminals, switches, valves, gauges, alarms, safety devices and meters to detect leaks or malfunctions, and to ensure that equipment is operating efficiently and safely.   ·          Maintains daily logs of operations, maintenance, and safety activities; including test results, instrument readings, and details of equipment malfunctions and maintenance work. Enters and closes out work orders and periodic maintenance in computer system.   ·          Performs or arranges for repairs, i. e. complete overhauls, replacement of defective valves, gaskets, or bearings, and/or fabrication of new parts. Schedules periodic maintenance. Qualifications The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: Minimum qualifications Five years of experience in central energy plant operations Three years of experience in chiller, cooling tower, emergency generator operations, HVAC, boilers Preferred qualifications:   ·          Experience in Boiler and/or machine operations   ·          Degree or certifications in Energy Management.
