Dallas, Texas, JOB SUMMARY Develops, and administers Scott & White’s financial and accounting policy. Prepares financial statements for internal and external consolidated purposes. Plans, organizes, and supervises the operations of the Finance Division including accounting services, payroll administration, R&E fiscal and asset management. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE • MANAGES ACCOUNTING AND PAYROLL MANAGEMENT OPERATIONS TO ENSURE DEVELOPMENT, IMPLEMENTATION AND ADMINISTRATION OF FINANCIAL POLICIES AND PRACTICES. • Ensures that services are provided in a timely, accurate, effective, and cost-efficient manner and in compliance with established policies, procedures and practices. • Effectively implements department personnel policies and procedures in conjunction with selection, orientation, training, assignment and staffing, evaluation, discipline, and discharging employees in compliance with applicable employment regulations. • Establishes a climate that reduces obstacles and slows and promotes staff to formulate and practice own initiatives and perform at maximum achievement level. • Identifies and provides opportunities for the staff to develop knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to contribute to the success of the department. • Trains and cross trains personnel to increase productivity and improve area operations. • PREPARES, ADMINISTERS AND MONITORS BUDGET TO MAINTAIN FINANCIAL VIABILITY.
• Prepares and recommends effective budgets to cover the projected costs of staffing, equipment and supplies needed to maintain effective operations. • Manages day-to-day operations and cash flow in compliance with approved budget. • Prepares timely and accurate financial, statistical, and tracking reports and interpretation as required. • ENSURES COMPLETE, ACCURATE AND TIMELY FINANCIAL REPORTING TO MAINTAIN RECORDS AND ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH FEDERAL AND STATE REQUIREMENT. • Produces accurate computer reports to support financial data used in regulatory reporting. • Maintains required current regulatory file information to ensure timely filing. • Oversees journal entries to general ledger during end of month close out procedures affecting subsidiaries. • Consistently demonstrates an ability to keep up work load, using support staff to assist as needed. • Prepares management reports and other financial reports, as required. • ACTS AS LIAISON FOR REGULATORY AND/OR AUDITORS TO ENSURE THE SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF PERIODIC AUDITS.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and different teams (operations, accounting and revenue cycle ect. ) • Coordinates year-end audit activities between Accounting and other departments. • Oversees preparation of guide schedules and PBC’s to help facilitate auditors performance. • Maintains favorable working relationships between outside auditors and Accounting department. • DEVELOPS MANAGEMENT REPORTS AND RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COLLECTION OF STATISTICAL DATA NECESSARY TO PREPARE JOURNAL ENTRIES OR MANAGEMENT REPORTS. • Studies financial results and provides management with reports, as requested. • Strives to meet deadlines on special projects and studies, as assigned. • Collects necessary supporting statistical information to facilitate monthly journal entries. • Oversees the accurate and timely monthly journal entries for statistical data. • PERFORMS OTHER POSITION APPROPRIATE DUTIES AS REQUIRED IN A COMPETENT, PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS MANNER.
• Oversight of 3-5 direct reports • Hybrid position (remote/in-office) KEY SUCCESS FACTORS • A Bachelor’s degree (e. g. , BA, BS, BSN, BSW) in Accounting, Finance or Business or equivalent experience is required. A Master’s degree (e. g. , MA, MS, MBA, MSN, MSW) or equivalent (e. g. , CPA, PE, etc. ) is preferred. • Five to seven years’ experience in financial management is required.
• Three years’ experience towards practice level financial operations • Proficient with MS Office applications. Proven leadership, management, examine and communication abilities.
