EOE Position Information: The Mental Health Response Nurse (MHRN) is recognized as a professional role model and clinical expert in behavioral and mental health that supports nursing excellence and collaborative shared decision-making throughout the system. The Mental Health Response Nurse is a key responder for Behavioral Health Response Team emergency calls who responds to the scene of behavioral health emergencies to provide de-escalation, guidance, and support. The Mental Health Response Nurse works closely with leaders and team members throughout the system to facilitate patient flow. The Mental Health Response Nurse manages the quality, safety, and experience for behavioral health patients by serving as a patient advocate and resource for clinical nurses, helping care teams throughout the system to develop appropriate plans of care and nursing interventions for patients with mental illness. The Mental Health Response Nurse collaborates with clinical nurses, providers, and Mental Health Licensed Clinicians to coordinate care for patients with behavioral health and complex case management needs.

To support quality improvement initiatives in the Mental Health and Well-Being service line, the Mental Health Response Nurse performs data collection and assists with mental health related education of clinical staff. #LI-post Experience Requirements: 1 Year Behavioral Health In Clinical – Acute Care Required Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree Nursing Required – Or Master’s Degree Nursing Preferred Licensure/Certification Requirements: Registered Nurse Required Crisis Prevention Institute Certification Preferred Certified Mental Health Nurse Preferred Hours of Work: 7a-7p Weekend Requirements: Every Other Call Requirements: no
