All About You

This role provides
graduate academic advising and student services and program support for masters-level graduate programs at Saint Louis University. This
person serves as a primary point of contact for students in our professional master’s programs, building strong relationships and providing
sound academic advising. Coordinating closely with the appropriate academic program directors, Associate Deans, and faculty, the person in
this role will provide a seamless academic experience from admission through graduation for non-thesis masters students.

Job
Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works with department chairs, program directors, and faculty graduate coordinators each semester to
    assess students’ needs, important deadlines, and communicates with faculty regarding relevant programmatic issues.
  • Manages student
    onboarding and provides support for graduate students in the areas of orientation, course registration, academic monitoring, documentation
    of curriculum exceptions, and graduation clearance in their assigned programs. Engages with students as appropriate to support academic
    success, progression, and retention.
  • Orients graduate students to important resources, including: the graduate student handbook for
    their program, programs of study, annual student reviews, and typical milestones and timelines for graduation. Works with faculty,
    department chairs or program directors, and associate deans on academic integrity guidance for students.
  • Refers students to
    appropriate campus resources, personnel, and support services.
  • In coordination with appropriate programs, advises students on course
    selections, petitions, waivers, transfer credits, and provides support during the registration process.
  • Supports annual graduate
    student evaluation process and handles probation and transfer processes.
  • Provides communication, verification, and follow-ups to
    graduating students to ensure all degree requirements have been met.
  • Maintains graduate programs’ technology platforms with
    up-to-date student resources, schedules, and information.
  • Responds to inquiries from matriculated students.
  • Works with
    program directors, and other academic leaders to deliver programming for graduate students throughout the semester.
  • Collaborates
    with OIS, academic programs, and student affairs to coordinate student experiences and co-curricular events for international
    students.
  • Participates in university-wide or school/college committees where appropriate.

Required Education

Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience
required.
