Job Summary
This position is responsible for
assisting the Guest & Member Experience Team Leads in ensuring outstanding guest service and effective operations of the Welcome Desk and
museum galleries. Individual will make use of leadership skills in this position to model exceptional customer service, train new staff,
fill in as a lead when needed, and other tasks as needed.

and willing to engage with guests in that language, will receive a 50 cent per hour increase to their
wage.
Responsibilities
1. Guest Experience: ensures customer service standards are met and exceeded and that guests needs
and concerns are responded to in a timely manner, works side by side with staff to model appropriate guest service standards.
2.
Staff Management and Training: works with GMET Leads & Manager to implement guest services policies and procedures, assists with required
training for new team members, identify areas of opportunity and work to improve results, promotes collaboration and a positive,
professional work environment.
3. Workspace Management: works with GMET Leads to maintain Welcome Desk and museum operations
standards, ensures a clean and safe work environment, and follows all NHMU procedures for guest/team member incidents.
4. Assistant
Lead duties include, but are not limited to: performing all associate tasks and duties beyond standard expectations, awareness of daily
museum happenings and sharing that with staff and other areas of the museum, assist the leads with assigned tasks, take on lead duties when
a lead is absent, training new GMET Associates, and attending regular GMET Leadership meetings.
Minimum
Qualifications
Three years of retail sales experience with one year of experience supervising employees and buying merchandise; and
demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills required. Associates degree in Business, or a related field, or two years of
related college work along with the above experience requirements is preferred. This position is not responsible for providing patient
care.

Work Schedule Summary: The Museum is open 7 days a week 10:00-5:00pm and 10:00-9:00 pm on Wednesdays. Potential for evening
or early morning event scheduling.
