Charlottesville, Virginia, UVA Health Northridge Internal Medicine Adult Primary Care UVA Northridge Internal Medicine is seeking a full time Primary Care MD/DO to replace a retiring physician in their busy and well established practice in Charlottesville, Virginia. This is a unique opportunity for a provider to have Faculty status as part of the UVA School of Medicine but have that “private” practice feel in a single location where long term patients relationships are built. Successful candidate will get to care for a diverse group of patients in a supportive, collaborative and collegial group practice. Daily responsibilities and duties include treating patients age 16+. Providing preventive care, handling ongoing management of chronic medical problems and visits to address acute medical problems. Average daily patient census is 15-20. There is shared responsibility to intermittently act as preceptor for UVA Residents who rotate in the practice. Clinic hours are 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday-Friday. Providers rotate working Saturday clinic (8am-12pm) and share call every 6th or 6th week for evening and weekend call. This is phone call only and there are no ER or inpatient responsibilities.
Northridge Internal Medicine has a modern complex laboratory for rapid turnaround and on site EKG’s and equipment to provide basic Dermatology and Orthopedic procedures.
