Job Purpose Statement
The IT Asset Manager is responsible for the effective management of the organization’s IT assets throughout their lifecycle. This role involves overseeing the acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and retirement of IT assets, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
The IT Asset Manager must be able to work collaboratively with various departments, vendors, and stakeholders to optimize the value and performance of IT assets while minimizing costs and risks. The role develops policies for implementation based on the ITIL framework, designed to ensure consistently high effective and efficient management in all aspects of best IT Asset Management practices.
Ideal Person Specifications
Academic qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
Professional training.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field.
ITIL Foundation would be an added advantage.
Desired work experience:
Adequate understanding of the various banking business systems and computer operations processes.
Demonstrable experience working in a professional IT environment.
Sound knowledge of Information technology.
Exposure to Vendor and Assets Management
