High School diploma/Equivalent. Two (2) years’ courier experience. Must be able to demonstrate multi-route knowledge. Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned and have no preventable accidents during previous two (2) years. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 75 pounds with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Thorough knowledge of the station’s service area preferred. Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods. Special Notes: The incumbent(s) of this position is(are) expected to perform all other related duties as assigned. Employees classified in the position do not have regularly assigned routes, they provide coverage for open routes in the absence of the normally assigned courier. Employees who are assigned multiple different routes during the work week on a regular basis are not classified as courier/swing driver. Specific assignments may require certification as a dangerous goods specialist and performance of those duties. In order to become and remain qualified for this position, the incumbent must pass all basic and/or recurrent training/testing.
