Uses multiple operational processes to correctly receive, process & dispatch high value freight in accordance with individual customer requirements whilst complying with all relevant regulatory, company & ISO requirements related to the storage & movement of goods to world wide destinations. Supports the Manager/Team Leader by regularly performing additional defined duties including short-term work allocation, conducting of procedural checks, resolution of exception situations & reporting etc._x000D_n_x000D_nissues are either resolved or reported to the correct department/area. Ensures sufficient supplies of daily consumables are in place. Performs defined security and safety checks on freight/goods and complies with all legal, regulatory & ISO requirements when operating equipment, processing, storing & releasing freight/goods. Performs periodic and defined procedural checks or audits on key processes & reports compliance. Co-ordinates schedules of receivables with carriers to ensure timely and efficient turnaround. Progresses all deviations from agreed schedule. Receives bulk freight, including dangerous goods, from multiple carriers/customers, checking paperwork for completeness and to ensure that all the delivery details are correct. Deals with carrier/customer queries by providing the correct information or escalating the query to the correct area. Offloads vehicles & ULD’s using mandatory safe working practices and splits within defined sort parameters and appropriate locations. Inspects the freight in accordance with defined procedures and performs visual checks to identify shortages, overages or possible damage. Reports immediately to the driver & relevant area/department using agreed tools/procedures. Uses appropriate equipment to perform physical ‘put away’ of freight to the designated area/s. Checks the product to the paperwork to ensure that the correct goods are stored. Performs a physical count to check SKU, quantity, serial numbers etc and reports using defined documentation. Uses appropriate equipment to pick goods in the required sequence ensuring all details are correct (SKU, quantity, serial number etc.). Verifies the accuracy of the pick list to the customer’s actual documentation & reports exceptions to the relevant area. Packs goods in accordance with each customer’s defined requirements and any legal or dangerous goods requirements. Signs the pick & pack documentation and accurately completes all relevant information & send details promptly to the office. Prepares goods for dispatch by matching labels to the appropriate goods and moving goods to relevant area. Dispatches goods to the approved carrier, providing guidance when needed on the correct procedural checks to be followed to ensure that the goods are accurate & complete. Uses equipment to correctly load freight/goods in accordance with the driver’s specific requirements. Processes all types of returns (receives, checks, allocate area, reports etc.) in accordance with defined procedures and specific customer requirements. Contributes to the development and implementation of new processes and procedures by providing relevant operational information and expertise to ensure the solution is viable and the most cost effective and efficient for the warehouse to perform. Provides standard and ad-hoc verbal & written updates/reports summarizing key warehouse performance statistics or issues at agreed times. Performs all related support duties including providing cover for other areas & operating in contingency situations by following required procedures.

Experience in a FedEx SCS warehouse operation with a good knowledge of the operation and the requirements of its key customers, including competent at picking & packing with a good knowledge of relevant working methods. Good planning & organizing skills with the ability to determine & co-ordinate sequences of tasks for self & others. Experience of working effectively with multiple work processes & procedures. Good interpretation skills with experience of translating customer specific instructions into actual requirements. Basic skills in using technology e.g. scanner /printer / intranet etc with the ability to perform basic maintenance tasks.
