About the opportunity:This position is responsible for oversight of the clinic office operations in all locations including scheduling, staffing, supervision of staff, and monitoring of processes and procedures. This role serves as a liaison with other departments and ensures a positive and professional work environment where Vail Health values are lived in accordance with our mission. What you will do:Oversees the daily operations of the clinic operations staff and all activities including but not limited to: reception, new patient intake, call center, scheduling, medical records, insurance verification, prior authorization, revenue cycle, and financial navigation.  Addresses general questions from patients, families, and Vail Health staff, as needed. Maintains staff schedules in an equitable and fiscally responsible manner, including PTO and sick call coverage. In conjunction with Director will oversee clinic operations budget. Responsible for the development of guidelines, policies and procedures, education modules, ongoing training, and competency. Monitors the quality and consistency of office operations, determines and monitors measures/metrics to evaluate operations as it relates to the overall business. Provides oversight of staff development and ensures all training needs are met. Provides leadership and direction to the team, including onboarding, training reviews performance management, delegating, and distributing job assignments, and maintaining a positive and professional work environment.

This role will lead with Vail Health values by communicating constructively with team members, identifying departmental and interdepartmental problems, and resolving conflicts appropriately.  Collaborates with department leadership on quality improvement initiatives focused on operations including the development and implementation of systems to support business office activities in an environment of continuous improvement and positive patient experience.  Serves as a liaison among clinical staff, non-clinical staff, providers, office staff, and other departments with constructive, collaborative, and accountable communication.  Conducts regular team meetings.  Able to perform all clinic operations functions when necessary.  Role models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.  What you will need: Experience:2 years of health care experience required. 2 years previous supervisory experience required. License(s):N/ACertification(s):N/AComputer / Typing:Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook required. Experience with Cerner, Mosaiq, Phreesia, and other EHR systems and scheduling and registration software preferred. Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc. Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.  Education:Bachelor’s degree preferred.  Pay is based upon relevant education and experience.  Pay Range:$32. 10—$59.
