Schedule:   Full Time Shift :  Monday – Friday Location: 893 Hope Way Altamonte Springs, FL 32714 The role youâ™ll contribute: Reporting to the Director, Benefits Strategy, the Manager, Health & Welfare Benefit Plans for AdventHealth is responsible for overseeing a team of benefit analysts that contribute to the development of the strategy, plan design, and administration and of AdventHealthâ™s Health and Welfare plans, including Medical, Dental, Vision and the related services and programs (health plan provider networks, ACA compliance, Continuation of Coverage, etc. ). S/he will partner with various functional leaders (e. g. , HR, Finance, Legal Services, etc.

), to develop strategy and design recommendations to maintain AdventHealthâ™s competitive positioning and create a positive impact to the health and wellbeing of its team members.   This position ensures best practice for plan governance, plan document oversight, and compliance with various IRS, ERISA, and other regulations as applicable. S/he oversees benefit plan vendors to ensure optimal performance and is a key member supporting M&A and divestiture activities for AdventHealth regarding the health and other benefit plan(s). This includes effective collaboration with internal partners (e. g. , Payroll, HRIS, etc. ) to ensure accurate configuration and processing and assistance in identifying trends and root cause analysis of issues that arise.   The value youâ™ll bring to the team: ·          Health & Welfare Benefits Strategy, Plan Design, and Administration (50%): ·          Collaborate with the Director, Benefits Strategy, to develop the benefits strategy, plan design, and administrative/business processes to ensure the external competitiveness and internal equity of AdventHealthâ™s benefits offerings. ·          Lead benefit analyst(s) to ensure strategic and operational decisions are informed by actionable insights derived from sound data and analytics. ·          Analyze benefit programs and carrier products to develop business plan recommendations and plan design changes that meet business needs, are cost effective, and that deliver world class programs and services to participants.

·          Partner with consultants to negotiate renewals with carriers and vendors within budget projections. ·          Lead the development of Plan communications including plan documents, SBC language, benefits guides, etc. ·          Apply best practice design thinking to continuously improve benefit plan design and administration ·          Develop SOPs, solutions and other training support as needed to support a complete and accurate knowledge base for HRSS regarding benefit programs, services, and business processes. ·          Respond to Tier 3 team member questions that are escalated by HRSS as required ·          Oversee the appeals process ·          Educate HRSS and other stakeholders (e. g. , HRBPâ™s, etc. ) on plan operations to ensure broad knowledge across the enterprise   ·          Mergers and Acquisitions (20%) ·          Collaborate with internal and external partners to facilitate integration of acquired entities and joint ventures ·          Manage merger of acquired company plans into the AdventHealth plans/programs ·          Develop communications in partnership with internal/external teams to onboard newly acquired employees, including communications regarding the transition, facilitation of final plan audits, and filings as appropriate   ·          Vendor Management Related Activities and Special Projects (10%): ·          Oversee benefit vendors and TPAâ™s, including for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, etc. and all voluntary benefit programs. ·          Identify, escalate, and recommend corrective action of vendor performance concerns to ensure timely resolution across the benefits portfolio ·          Collaborate with the benefits consultant(s) on the annual evaluation/assessment of current offerings to ensure timely review of RFPs, recommendations, and implementation of new benefits/vendors as requested/required. ·          Manage and monitor health and welfare vendorsâ™ compliance to the contract provisions and negotiated performance guarantees.

  ·          Compliance (10%) ·          Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws (e. g. , ERISA, DOL, ACA, etc. ) as required for the AdventHealthâ™s Benefits programs. ·          Partner with internal and external teams (e. g. , Finance, Treasury, Tax, Legal, etc. ) as needed/required to ensure policies and procedures for benefit programs are compliant with current regulatory requirements ·          Oversee plan audits for Health & Welfare Benefit Plans ·          Support preparation of reports and filings as required by government agencies, updates to plan document, procedures, and amendments. ·          Oversee/audit administration and communication of all plans to ensure compliance with plan documents and ERISA and Church Plan regulations as applicable. ·          Participate and provide information for preparation of 5500, and other filings as required   ·          Special Projects (10%): ·          Develop communication materials regarding health & welfare plans and facilitate employee understanding, appreciation, and participation.

·          Facilitate communication of the health & welfare benefit plans to employees (for annual enrollment and other occasions). ·          Other projects as assigned Qualifications The expertise and experiences youâ™ll need to succeed : EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :           Bachelorâ™s degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field           At least five years of experience in Health Plan administration           Demonstrated understanding and experience in health plan design and administration, financial analysis, data analysis, contract implementation and maintenance of contractual agreements           Comprehensive knowledge of health insurance; insurance laws and regulations, including claims processing; medical and insurance terminology and procedure and diagnostic codes           Comprehensive knowledge of provider reimbursement mechanisms           Experience managing health plan provider networks           Analytical thinker to ensure data driven solutions to complex business problems           Demonstrated experience with managing and cultivating strong business relationships   EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:           A Masterâ™s Degree in a related field           Experience managing projects and employee benefits program design           Insurance company provider relations experience This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
