Job Summary

The Studio Manager will manage the Audio and Filmmaking labs, assigned staff, budget, and equipment inventory with
limited supervision.

Essential
Functions

Recruit, hire, supervise and train part-time lab assistants.

Schedule recording sessions for classes,
students and community organizations. Track student usage of recording/film facilities and report student usage weekly.

Manage,
maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment in assigned labs.

Plan, implement, and supervise the installation of recording, video,
film and computer equipment as needed.

Tutor and monitor students as needed.

Manage, track and inventory equipment using
automated inventory system; recommend and implement design improvements to inventory system as needed.

Research and secure vendors
and quotes for supplies and repairs as needed.

Manage repair budget and equipment warranty records.

May work staggered shifts
to accommodate studio needs (facilities are open to students from 7 a.m. to midnight, 7 days a week).

Perform other duties, tasks and
assignments as required.

Education and Experience

* Associate’s degree in audio, video, film or electronics
required* 2 years of experience as an audio engineer, filmmaker or videographer required, including 1 year as recording studio manager –
Teaching experience preferred

and repair* Audio/video software* Desktop operating systems – Inventory Management

General office. May frequently be required
to walk; stand; sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this
job include close vision and distance vision. Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer, photocopier, file
cabinets, and calculator. Manual dexterity, ability to lift up to 25 pounds, ability to reach and bend, and use 2-step stool while safely
lifting and lowering boxes. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events. May be required to
work after hours to include weekends and holidays.
