Durham, North Carolina, Marketing, Communications, PR Specialist Senior – Affiliations Job Description This role leads and manages the implementation of strategies and tactics in support of a comprehensive marketing and communications plan to build the Duke Health brand through affiliations and business partnerships. This is a hybrid position (minimum of one day per week in Durham based office) that may require occasional travel to affiliate locations. Duties and Responsibilities Develop and plan promotional programs to promote DUHS activities and events through a variety of media. Write, produce and distribute communication tools. Provide communication support for special events and DUHS initiatives. Monitor and evaluate communication effectiveness, investigate trends, and recommend and implement modifications to improve communications. Write, edit and coordinate production of marketing collateral including print and digital materials. Develop, edit and maintain assigned DUHS web pages. Represent assigned programs on behalf of the department and serve on various committees as needed. Represent the department in various internal communications/marketing initiatives and seek opportunities to apply marketing principles and tactics to support these initiatives.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein. Required Qualifications at this Level Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Business or related field is required. Experience: Two years of directly related experience is required.
