Jerome, Idaho, Overview Perform routine tests in clinical laboratories for use in treatment and diagnosis of diseases. Test specimens in an accurate, organized and prioritized manner following laboratory procedures and policies to ensure quality and timeliness in accordance with all regulatory agency requirements. Collect a variety of specimens as required by specific section needs, with skill and sensitivity to needs of the patient. Ensure specimens are properly identified, collected, labeled and stored, as well as, maintain a safe and clean working environment. Perform instrument maintenance according to section procedures. Maintain inventory supplies. Follow department policy maintaining all necessary records and documentation, and ensure input is accurate and complete. Provide mentorship and training to others. Qualifications Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field, plus two (2) years of experience in the offered position or a medical related occupation. Position requires at least one of the following certifications:
* Blood Banking (ASCP_BB),
* Chemistry (ASCP_C),
* Cytogenetics (CYGT),
* Hematology (ASCP_H),
* Microbiology (ASCP_M),
* Molecular Biology (ASCP_MB),
* Medical Lab Scientist (ASCP_MLS),
* Medical Technologist (ASCP_MT or AMT_MT).
