Russellville, Kentucky, Description The incumbent is to present for work in a timely manner, groomed professionally, and perform their job function in accordance with all Logan Memorial Hospital standards of performance, policies and procedures. Â This incumbent is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations in a physician office/clinic. The incumbent may be involved with financial bookkeeping, scheduling of patients, and billing. The incumbent, under the direction and supervision of the Physician, may assist in direct patient care activities such as venipuncture, taking vital signs, and giving injections. The incumbent demonstrates professional development and clinical competency and manages patient care assignments as well as other organizational tasks related to the office operations. The incumbent is responsible for researching and resolving denied claims. Follows up with accounts over 60 days and takes necessary action to expedite payment and/or zero account. Performs necessary steps to obtain insurance coverage for self-pay accounts.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Medical Assistant certification preferred; CPR is required. A minimum of one year of scheduling, billing, and clinical experience in a physician office or clinic
