Multicultural Life department is seeking candidates for the 2023-24 academic year.
Pay Rate: $15.19 per hour

Job Description

Multicultural Life Program Assistant (A):
- Greet and welcome students, faculty, and staff at the front desk
- Assist in managing the MLife Department calendar
- Initiate, receive, and respond to email and phone correspondence
- Support administrative duties such as data entry, maintenance of supplies, and as needed
- Maintain an organized and clean shared space for all
- Support in Social Media posts and engaging on social media platform
- Support for events and programming upon request
- Advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion through body language, and demeanor
Multicultural Life Program Assistant (B/Program Support):
- Assist the MLife Program Managers with specific projects related to each of the 5 MLife Programs (AISS, LGBTQIA+ SS, LSS, PAF, PASS)
- Support for events and programming upon request
- Support MLife Program Managers with some administrative duties such as data entry, maintenance of supplies, and as needed
- Advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion through body language, and demeanor
Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled at Augsburg University
- Must be work study-eligible. (Please contact Student Financial Services if you have questions about your financial aid award.)
- Must be tech savvy (or willing to learn) in Google Suites, Canva.com, Microsoft Office
- Willingness to engage and interact with students, faculty, and staff
- Analyze and present quality over quantity in assigned tasks and possible office needs
- Must maintain privacy of sensitive student information, as required by federal FERPA law
- Must exhibit effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow directions and execute tasks in a timely manner
