Portland, Oregon, Providence Cancer Institute is seeking an On-Call, Nurse Practitioner to join its expanding multidisciplinary team within the Oncology Palliative Care Clinic. In this role, you will be responsible for providing symptom management related to acute and chronic cancer-related conditions, assisting with communication and coordination of care, and developing of treatment plans under the guidance/direction of the medical director. This position will support the teams at both Providence Franz Cancer Clinic at the Providence Portland Medical Center in Northeast Portland; and at the Providence Oncology/Hematology Clinic West on the campus of Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Northwest Portland. Treating cancer is not only about treating the disease; it is also about supporting our patients and families – taking part in meaningful work as part of this essential team. On-Call/Per Diem – maximum flexibility Monday – Friday, daytime hours, and no call Minimum of 2-years post-graduate clinical experience in Oncology and Palliative Care required. Works in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including oncologists, nurse practitioners, social workers, pain management specialist, and chaplain Malpractice liability insurance provided by Providence.
